 A Message from the Chairman,
Officer Mike Davis

I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit www.dwikills.org, home of the Bexar County D.W.I. Task Force.  The Task Force has expanded over the past twenty two years into a network of law enforcement agencies, advocate groups, health care providers, and educators.  All of the members share a common goal of saving lives by reducing the number of DWI related incidents in Bexar County.

Through combined multi-agency efforts we have established effective education and enforcement programs.  Over the past few years I have been training peace officers from agencies across the state in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and investigation of impaired driving cases.  I am an adjunct police instructor at the Alamo Area Law Enforcement Academy and I am employed full-time as a municipal police officer at the City of Alamo Heights.   I am proud of the commitment that the members of the task force have made in their efforts to provide a safer community in Bexar County.

Over the next few months, we will address strong campaigns geared toward educating our community about the dangers of impaired driving, underage drinking, binge drinking, and alcohol abuse.  We will continue to train officers who will take part in DWI saturation patrols and enforcement programs.  We will arrest drunk drivers, minors who consume alcohol and persons who provide alcohol to intoxicated or underage individuals.

If you are interested in supporting or joining the Task Force or if I can be of any assistance to you please contact me directly at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Respectfully,
Mike Davis
